Directors Corner

What makes us special?

Unfortunately in the State of Missouri and throughout our county, with the educational cuts, symphony programs are not offered in most area schools.  For the majority of our young musicians this is the only opportunity to learn and play as a symphony.  We encourage all children from Jefferson County and its neighboring regions, Washington, Franklin, St. Francois and St. Genevieve counties to participate.

The Jefferson County Regional Youth Symphony is one of the few youth symphonies in the United States that does NOT require a fee or tuition.  The program is FREE to the musician.  The organization relies completely on public and private support for funding.

Become a Symphony Supporter.

The Jefferson County Regional Youth Symphony requests funding to support what we believe to be a crucial project.  Private and corporate funds provide music, music folders, and music stands, folding chairs, auditorium rental, custodial fees, insurance, printing, office supplies and other operational needs.

We appreciate your consideration in this important program.  With your support, the volunteers of the Jefferson County Regional Youth Symphony can provide a valuable educational experience to young musicians and their success in learning.

The Jefferson County Regional Youth Symphony was founded in February 2004 as a nonprofit corporation in the State of Missouri and it is a publicly supported organization. To find out how you can become a Jefferson County Regional Youth Symphony supporter contact:
